2008 SUZUKI GSX R1000 HP curiousity

Man, my brother just snagged a 2008 Suzuki GSX R1000, and this thing is an absolute beast!

It's got about 15K miles on it, and it came with a bunch of upgrades: a Yoshi Pro ECU, a Woolich custom tune, quickshifter, launch control, pit lane limiter, valves blocked, and a Two Brothers Black Series exhaust.

We're pretty new to these big sport bikes, and he bought it as is. We're both wondering what kind of horsepower numbers a setup like that would even put down.

It's already ridiculously fast for the road, lol.

Any ideas on what kind of HP figures we're looking at with all those mods?

You're probably looking at somewhere between 185 and 200 hp at the crank, maybe 175-185 at the wheel depending on the dyno and altitude. Blocking the secondary throttle valves and pairing the Woolich tune with the Yoshi ECU gives more throttle authority and better top end mapping.

Most people overestimate bolt-on gains, even with that setup, you're probably looking at around 175–185 wheel horsepower. Big numbers sound cool, but the rider's skill matters way more than dyno bragging rights

Nice, probably pushing around 180 to 190 horsepower at the rear wheel, definitely a serious jump from stock and plenty fast for the street and I'd also have to go with @Eden on the rider's skill

With that setup, Yoshi ECU, Woolich tune, quickshifter, launch control, valves blocked, and a Two Bros pipe....you're easily flirting with 175–185 wheel horsepower. That thing ain't just fast, it's basically a street-legal missile. Respect it!
